FAQs

What's the difference between a crushed product and a clean product?

1

The main difference between a crushed (or "down") product and a clean (or "washed") product is the presence of fine dust and small particles. In a crushed product, the small particles act like a binder, allowing the material to pack tightly to create a solid base ideal for driveways, walkways or patios. A clean product stays loose, can shift under foot or vehicle traffic and allows for drainage; a great choice for decorative areas or top layers.

Do you have a yard where I can come pick up my own products?

2

We do have stockpiles of the most commonly ordered products, however any sales in the yard are by appointment only as staffing is limited. Please call 204-348-2586 before coming by to ensure there is a staff member on site to load your truck or trailer.

How soon can you schedule gravel deliveries or excavation work?

3

Our tandem deliveries can generally be done within 1-2 business days, however the more notice you can give us the better! Services including the skid steer or excavator need to be booked farther in advance, as availability fluctuates heavily based on the season, weather and construction demand.

What areas do you service?

4

We are based out of Seven Sisters Falls, and serve primarily the Eastern region of Manitoba, however we have done work all over the province! We are also licensed and insured for Northwestern Ontario.

The granite photos on our website are taken from the stockpiles in our yard, where the piles have had time to settle and rain has washed the particles down. Your fresh delivery of granite will have dust and particles on it from being reloaded into the trucks and then dumped onto your yard, which will have caused the rock and fine particles to mix. Once the product has been spread out and has had time to settle (and a rainfall or two) it'll be more like the photos on our site!

Why does my crushed granite delivery look different than the photos on your website?

What is the minimum/maximum material I can order?

6

The minimum order quantity for a tandem delivery is 1 yard. The maximum is 10 yards for gravel/sand/stone, and 15 yards for topsoil and mulch.

I have a project I want done, how do we get that started?

7

Please visit the "Products & Services" page on our website, and use the order form to tell us about your project! Include as much detail as you can, you can also attach photos which is very helpful during the estimating process!

Do you deliver gravel, sand, topsoil or fill during the winter?

8

Yes, we can deliver some products during the winter. Depending on the product, there may be a winter loading fee and/or less availability. Please give us more notice for winter deliveries. Yard sales are not available during the winter months.
